If you think you\u2019re tired at the end of the day, it\u2019s not only you.<\/p>\n<h1>Your body gets tired with you, and that includes the top of your head too. <\/h1>\n<p>But aside from that, there are some practices that we\u2019re used to doing that are known to damage your hair more than you know.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listed below are just some of the habits you might want to break now:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Daily washing<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There are some debates about this as it becomes a hygiene issue, but it really doesn\u2019t have to be. <\/p>\n<p>Washing your hair every day robs your hair of its natural oils that keep it healthy. Most stylists recommend shampooing every 2 days.<\/p>\n<p>The people who will benefit the most from lessening washing your hair are those who have dry, damaged hair from coloring, straightening, curling, etc. <\/p>\n<p>Washing your hair constantly will dull it even more.<\/p>\n<p>If you work out a lot though, on a daily basis, this can get trickier. Of course you don\u2019t want your hair to wreak of the gym. You can opt for just using conditioner at the ends of your hair. <\/p>\n<p>And if you have an oily scalp, use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner on your head. <\/p>\n<h3><strong>Using the wrong products<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We\u2019re probably all guilty of this at some point. <\/p>\n<p>There are specific hair types like dry, oily, damaged, frizzy, colored, etc. And along with those differences are specific types of products that you should use.<\/p>\n<p>You may be using expensive things, but at the end of the day, you\u2019re not doing much for your hair really.<\/p>\n<p>Expensive isn\u2019t always the best if you\u2019re buying the wrong thing.<\/p>\n<p>It could also be that you\u2019re using the same shampoo\/conditioner you\u2019ve been using since you were a kid. That is a no-no! <\/p>\n<p>Not only are you using probably the wrong one for your hair type now, but your scalp is probably used to that by now. <\/p>\n<p>And when it\u2019s used to it, it doesn\u2019t clean as well as you think it does.<\/p>\n<p>Get to know your hair, talk to your stylist, and listen to what he\/she recommends you to use. Don\u2019t scrimp on good hair products.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Brushing when it\u2019s wet<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We know it can get pretty tangled up in there, especially for those with long hair, which is more reason to brush your hair more carefully.<\/p>\n<p>Brushing when your hair\u2019s wet is a bad idea because that\u2019s when your hair is weak. If you\u2019re constantly tugging at it while in this state, you\u2019re doing unnecessary damage to it.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, opt for brushing before you hop in the shower. <\/p>\n<p>Remove the tough knots ahead of time so it\u2019s not as knotted when you\u2019re out. You can also bring a wide toothed comb inside the shower with you and comb through it after putting conditioner.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Avoiding haircuts<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t matter if you\u2019re growing your hair out or what, you need to go to your salon regularly!<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re trying to grow your hair, notice the ends of it. <\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re seeing split ends or dry ends, you need to go get your haircut asap. <\/p>\n<p>The damaged part climbs up higher as you let it grow out. Have it cut as soon as you notice it.<\/p>\n<p>Always ask your stylist for options as to how to cut your hair. It doesn\u2019t have to become short, just shorter and healthier.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Overdoing treatments<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There\u2019s nothing set in stone when it comes to getting treatments for your hair, but you do know that it gets damaged every time you do it.<\/p>\n<p>The advisable number of hair procedures to get done is about 2 a year. You need to let your hair and scalp breathe. <\/p>\n<p>Spend on maintenance treatments instead like buying heat protector and also investing on conditioning treatments.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, just like the rest of your body, your hair needs attention too.
